What is IxMobile?
IxMobile is Ixia's next generation Video Telephony diagnostic solution that provides interoperability testing, troubleshooting, service optimization and video telephony call monitoring capabilities. It is a versatile tool, providing capabilities for emulation, analysis, monitoring and QoS with call reporting. IxMobile is essential for network equipment manufacturers, handset manufacturers, and mobile operators deploying multimedia services over 3G networks.

With release 4.10, IxMobile announces Global Certification Forum WI-019 certification, offers a software only Standard Edition, a new Conformance Edition, adds new functionality, and much more:

Validated for Global Certification Forum (GCF) use* - IxMobile has been independently validated for more than 80% of the video telephony certification test cases prescribed by the GCF. This allows it to be used for GCF video telephony video telephony certification.

IxMobile, software only delivery - Adapting to the needs of our customers, IxMobile is now offered as a software only edition. The software only edition is a cost effective option for customers testing with 3G data card and/or ISDN BRI interfaces. The software only edition provides the complete application functionality of our Portable and Benchtop solutions but does not yet support ISUP/ISDN PRI or Call monitoring. Customers interested in those interfaces are encouraged to see our integrated solutions.

IxMobile Conformance Edition - The Conformance Edition is a unique version of IxMobile, made for customers testing Video Telephony handsets through an emulated air interface. IxMobile communicates with the emulation tools via a TCP/IP communications port and requires no additional hardware.
By using air interface emulators with IxMobile, customers can be sure to execute consistent, repeatable tests necessary for fast troubleshooting and official compliance validation.

Expected Events List - Included in all IxMobile editions, the Expected Events List (EEL) allows users to specify a series of events (e.g. messages, warnings, errors) to be seen during a test as Pass/Fail criteria. Each test may have more than one EEL, allowing for multiple outcomes (e.g. Pass, Fail, Unsupported, etc...). The Expected Events List is particularly valuable when combined with IxMobile's existing automation capabilities.

Test Campaign - Included in all IxMobile editions, Test Campaigns allow users to select a group of test cases to be run, Pass/Fail criteria through Expected Events List(s), and then generate overall campaign reports. Test Campaigns can share common test cases, allowing for clearer organization of tests for GCF Certification, Regression, Feature Test, IOT, etc...

It has been officially validated by an independent third party testing organization to support at least 80% of the test cases prescribed by the GCF for video telephony certification of handsets. This level of validation allows the IxMobile to be used for GCF certification of handsets for video telephony.
